A pharmaceutical company director with over 18 years’ experience in the life sciences industry. Richard started his career at GSK and worked in UK and global marketing roles for the next ten years. Since 2015, he has worked in consultancy, outsourced commercial services and start-up pharmaceutical companies, leading projects on over 35 brands, for OPEN Health, SOL Life Sciences, and as Head of Brand Strategy and Management at CHASE. He has extensive launch experience across medicines and medical devices, and in-licensing and commercial partnership business development experience. Richard developed the idea for Leith Healthcare from within CHASE and led the management team buy out in 2024.

Richard Grethe, Non-Executive Director
Richard has a rich history and extensive experience in the UK life-sciences industry. He started his career as a Chartered Accountant at KPMG and has worked in Pharmaceuticals for 30 years at Wellcome PLC, Medeva, Celltech, and UCB. In 2004, he was a founding member of Focus Pharma and sold it to trade in 2014. Since 2015, Richard has served as CFO and subsequently Non-Executive Director of the market-leading medical animation company Random42, and Non-Executive Director of Leith Healthcare’s former parent company CHASE.
